NACOSS Approved
The rising tide of crime means that the number of new
security system installations is growing annually as owners recognise the need
to secure their property against burglary, trespass and damage.
You can read all the literature in the
world, but ultimately there is one fundamental question to ask any
company that installs security systems:
Are you a NACOSS approved company?
In the case of Euro Security Systems Ltd, the answer is an emphatic .
Why use a NACOSS Recognised Firm?
Every year more than a quarter of a million security
systems are installed in the UK. This figure indicates the
perceived importance of securing premises against a
growing tide of crime.
NACOSS (The National Approval Council for Security Systems) is the UK regulatory body
responsible for the approval of companies involved in the installation of:
- Intruder Alarms
- Access Control Systems
- Closed Circuit Television
- Central Monitoring Stations

Keeping Down the Cost of Insurance
Insurers now regularly insist on security systems that
have been installed by NACOSS approved firms before insurance cover for premises can be provided.
For householders, an intruder alarm will often mean a lower insurance premium.
This is because the insurers know that a security company which can provide a NACOSS Certificate for all its
security installations is offering a system that has been installed by a firm which has gone through a demanding
assessment programme.
What Does NACOSS Recognition Mean?
To obtain NACOSS Approval a company must demonstrate
that it meets the required standards of:
- Technical operation (System design and installation)
- Quality Control
- Maintenance of installed systems
- Minimising false alarms
- Training of staff
|
and that it adheres to codes of practice regarding
customer relations and control documentation.
Quality Guarantee
Should a client have a complaint about the manner of
installation of a system with a valid NACOSS Certificate of Compliance, or the way in which it is subsequently
maintained, he or she is entitled to refer the matter to NACOSS who will investigate.
In the case of a valid complaint, the installer will be required to make the installation good at no cost to the
client, and in serious cases a defaulting firm may be disciplined or even removed from the NACOSS list.
